Light up Cornhole

To make the game little more fun, and to experiment with the Arduino microprocessor, I added some sound and lights to one of my boards...
I added 20 blue LEDs around the rim and I pulled a dinosaur sound chip and speaker out of a children's toy. An infrared emitter / detector pair mounted across the underside of the hole acts as the trigger. I programmed the Arduino to detect the change in IR level caused by the bean bag passing between the emitter and detector. It then sets off one of 3 light patterns and triggers the sound effect from the dinosaur toy parts.

Update: This has broken and I have not put the effort into fixing it yet. I foolishly mounted the Arduino under the board about 5" in front of the hole. Exactly where many people aim when throwing the 1lb bean bag. I think a solder joint or something on the board itself has failed due to the repeated impact.
Another failure point was the mounting of the IR LED. I installed some short wooden risers to avoid a hanging bag from triggering the effects and mounted the IR pair to the top of the blocks. These wooden block has since cracked along the wood grain and are only hanging on by the LED wires.
When I get around to version 2 there will be a lot of changes....
